the first 10 days

- wednesday 9: i went to the airport at 8.30 without sleeping in the whole night. but i was lucky and they upgraded me to business class (a long story), so i could go into the vip lounge, have breakfast, take a nap, and then during the flight i could sleep quite comfortably, eat, and so on. so better flight than what i expected.
i was going to meet andrea and maite in t-centralen but i was by chance on the same flygbuss that the other catalan people from sundby, so we arrived all together home.
and once in my flat, surprise surprise... an invasion of cockroaches! andrea had done a lot cleaning everything with bleach (she is much braver than me, i couldn't even go into the kitchen knowing that one might come out), but there were still many. so we went to have dinner in maite's flat. we talked a lot about christmas and so on, and then straight to bed, not so late because we really needed to sleep.

- thursday 10: we woke up really early to go to talk with the housekeepers about the cockroaches (in spain you could buy yourself something to kill them, but not here because they are not common), and they called someone to come the next day.
we then went to school, we had a presentation, but we finished early enough to go to gamla stan for a walk and a chocolate cake :D. we came back to tekniska högskolan, had lunch in a really nice cafe, and then to class.
later, on the way to sundby we stopped to see some shops around st.eriksplan (and we discovered it's a really interesting area to be explored), and then back home.
dinner again in maite's, and then we visited lukas and met his new flatmate, lufy, from hong kong.

- friday 11: we all went to kungstradgarden to skate, both sundby and tyresö people, and then the architects we went to have lunch at school. and we decided there to go on a weekend trip (we started mentioning it the night before), as we were quite alone in stockholm because the engineers haven't come yet, so they went to class and i came home to organise everything.
we rented 3 cars, and we took 2 of them to sundby (so we used the chance to go to lidl to buy things for 3 months! you should have seen us with the laundry trolleys to carry everything, haha).

- saturday 12: we met at 6.15 in sundby. we were 15 people, 9 from sundby, 3 from tyresö, 3 from lappis. and we had 3 ford fiesta, 3 great drivers (thanks diego, laia and jose!) and a "drunk" gps that worked when it wanted...
the trip was around svealand, so we started going to örebro. we arrived just when the first bakeries were opening, so we could have a nice breakfast, and then a tour around the city. it was a pity that it was raining, so we got really wet and cold, but the city was very nice.
we continued going to falun, we ate something there, bought what we needed for dinner, and had a little walk around the -empty- centre. and then straight to mora, where we were going to sleep in some cabins in a camping. the road since before even reaching falun was completely covered with snow, and after snowing the whole afternoon, imagine how our camping was... so as soon as we went out of the cars we started a snowball fight!
we then cooked dinner, talked, listened to alberto playing the guitar, and went to sleep.

- sunday 13: we had such a sunny day... it was still very cold, but it was all beautiful. after leaving the cabins we first went to visit mora, the centre and a walk along the lake shore... and over the frozen lake!
then we went to rättvik, on the other side of the siljan lake, and we also walked beside and over the lake there. we had lunch, watched the sunset, and back to the cars towards uppsala.
it was sunday, at night, and cold, so the city was quite empty, but we still had a very nice walk around guided by alvaro :)
and when we thought the day was over, we arrived to sundbyberg and we couldn't go into the building because there was a fire! all the firemen around, the police, a couple crying, smoke coming out from a window of the first floor... we were there about half an hour, and then finally we arrived home!

- monday 14: i didn't go to school, i just stayed here finishing some stuff. and at night we had dinner at maite's flat, all the people from the trip and 5 more, so we were quite a lot...

- tuesday 15: we went to skate to kungstradgarden again, to eat at school and back home. and we were planning to go to the jam session, but we ended up in 516 having odd conversations and "experimenting with desserts"... funny night, yes.

- wednesday 16: we tried sundbyberg's ice rink, and it was great! really big, indoor, and we were alone! so we stayed there for almost 3 hours. we had lunch, rested, watched a movie... just as a sunday afternoon! and at night we had dinner at laia's place.

- thursday 17: we had lunch at school, with a "swedish surprise" at the end just to make me nervous :P, and sounds strange but i did go to class! the first half we were sleeping, and the second half finishing a proyect from another subject, haha. after that we went shopping for a while, and then we came back to have dinner at lukas' flat. and around 10 some other people started coming because it was christoph's last night so we organised a small party. some new people came as well, and they seem very nice, but it was very strange... they've come with so much energy, just as we did in august, excited about so many new things... and it was catching, we sometimes felt the same, happy meeting this new people, but in just two seconds we could turn to sadness because of goodbyes. and then happy again, and...
saying goodbye to christoph wasn't easy either, i feel one of the best people i've met in sweden has left. when he was going to leave i gave him my muse poster (i took it from the street before going to the concert in october, and i was going to keep it, but i thought he might like to have it...), a big hug, and... gone :(

- friday 18: i woke up just to go to university, because we went to sleep quite late the night before. we finished our proyect and went to södermalm to eat the best muffins in stockholm :) so after that we needed to walk up to t-centralen to try not to feel so full!
we met later at roberto's flat to have some drinks before going to the city. we first tried a place in hötorget, but we ended up in patricia, the boat-disco in slussen. maybe it's not the most glamorous place in stockholm, but it's nice enough, and we really had fun.
and it was nice to see how being less people here is making us get together. people with whom we just met in big parties might start to get closer...
