interesting night + surprising discovery

i was some time ago trying to figure out what was breakcore, hardcore, and all these kinds of music...
and, by chance, this festival happened to be at the same time. i went because some friends were going, but it also helped me introduce myself in this world...

it was a squatter house, surprisingly neat and well organised, with a kind of terrace outside where they sold mostly hand made stuff, and inside was the bar, the djs, and everything... and it seems many of the djs are really known! within people that like this music i mean.

we arrived with the last minutes of dubstep, and from then on the speed went just in increase. i learned one thing that day: anytime you think a beat can't possibly go faster... it always can. it's amazing. and strange cuts, broken rithms (if they could be called so), indescribable sounds... i don't know how could the people dance that, personally i couldn't. it was much more useful if you wanted to do something, to just move, and from time to time the beat catched up with you for a few seconds... when we left, this "music" was so into our heads, that i could really notice a "rithm" in the engine of the bus! pretty much the same sound that was in the festival the last hour... :$

but well, interesting, really worth going and seeing.

and after that, when i had decided that i completely dislike breakcore, hardcore, grindcore and whatevercore, a friend showed me that i can "scare" my friends saying that i like breakcore, because it can be more than just noise, music actually:

venetian snares - szamár madár

so yes, i can say i have a cd of breakcore, the whole cd of this guy, venetian snares (Rossz csillag alatt született), and i really like it (and recommend it!). but it's the only...

two perfect nights

***saturday 18/10, madrid***

- hey rita, i'll be having dinner here, and it's close enough, so maybe you can come by later with marta, we have some drinks here and then we go
- by car?
- i think so!
- nice...
- go to this subway stop, and we'll make light signs from the window :P

[...]
- so you are coming by car... ok, after this village you take this road, and then this dirt track... you'll pass by some fields, a big sewage system plant, and also many people walking in the same direction, is kind of a long way, 5 or 6 km... you'll recognise when you have arrived, you'll either see the ruins or quite many cars...

[...]
and there we were left, the 3 of us, at the beginning of a row of parked cars, people... and we walked up another path, jumped through the hole in the wall, went around another wall, and there we were in the yard of an abandoned monastery. few lights (most coming from the energy control stand), big speakers, music just starting...

we tried to go on a walk around the monastery, but with the rainy weather we couldn't see much, and instead i came back with mud all over my sneakers and trousers (and more that we got along the night!).

so back to the first place, while they were also preparing the second area, in the old chapel, with different music and so.
we also met there friends of mine (alberto, the "pharmacist"...), friends of rita (miguel, pavi, dani...)...

and mainly that was the night! up to the yard, down to the chapel, out to the forest, out in the other direction to the cars, back again... funny people doing strange things sometimes, and a very nice surprise that came to join us around 5 (and brought -more- water and -more- warm clothes!) :D and a different dimension...

i was more than 4 hours being completely unable to stop talking, ahah. i tried to avoid it first, but then i saw i couldnt, so i just tried to change the listener from time to time, so that no one got bored... and so happy! such nice views! (oh, that sky... :P) the best moment of the night, when the clouds opened a bit just where the moon was... amazing, i couldn't stop looking =)

- remember those cartoons where they mix with some real images... doesn't it really look like that? can't you see the real image and the cartoon part? :P
[...]

with the daylight we finally went to explore the rest of the monastery. really worth seeing! (it even has a bottomless pit... :O) and by that time you could find a lot of other people walking around there too...

and that was it! 10.00 time to go, for me at least, even if some friends stayed till 12.30, 15.00...
long night full of -happy- stories...

***tuesday 21/10, barcelona***

"erasmus party at shôko, say you are in nice barcelona list and you get free entrance, free drink before 00.45, and special prices all night"

and after a horrible day with everything going wrong, the planets started to aligne...

i was with the best people (even gloria that was visiting that day!), in one of the most exclusive clubs in barcelona, entering just in time (at 00.44!) to get the free drink. and it was exactly like being back in stockholm!
same type of club, with one of those cool terraces like in stureplan, but instead of the street there was the beach! so even better. same type of people, of clothes, that "sweden's short concept", so many foreign people... and same type of music, those hits we heard every day in stockholm! i sometimes even looked around to look for some sundby people...

nostalgic, yes, but happy to relive that for one day, it was exactly what i needed...

the chemical brothers

sorry for not posting lately, but i've had absolutely no time... :(
i promise to update soon, i expect (hope!) to have a bit of time for myself next week.

but right now i was just remembering good times from this summer, listening to the chemical brothers' new album... i saw them live this summer at sudoeste festival, and if you haven't seen them it's definitely a must. the music, the images, the effects... you're taken completely to an unreal world. or to your own bubble, as you want to take it! and this album it's like being back there...

i was looking for some video, but i can't find any that really shows what it was so... ill leave this song, that was my happiest moment in my bubble :P and it was followed by "believe", that was the most impressive one, on effects i mean, so for me the best part of the concert! though it was perfect from beggining to end.

well... except for one thing :(

today must be architecture student's day... good news and surprises for 2 of my friends :)
one can finally go for his final project, and the other got accepted in the ETSAM (though i'm not sure if that's really good news... ahah, joking)
so congratulations to both of you!!!

and the rest of my architecture friends there we go, some of them already with the final project, others a bit slower but doing fine... and little by little we're making it, we can actually see the end, impossible as it seemed!

uff... scary...

llegara...?

When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse.

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
"Just what your worth"

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream, down on your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face and I...

Tears stream, down on your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face and I...

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.

(coldplay - fix you)

pst... pst...

it is possible to whisper and be heard 600 km away...

Dream a Little Dream of Me - Doris Day

Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper "i love you"
Birds singin’ in the sycamore trees
Dream a little dream of me

Say nighty-night and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you’ll miss me
While I’m alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading but I linger on dear
Still craving your kiss
I’m longin’ to linger till dawn dear
Just saying this

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me...

meeting in barcelona!

i know i have to write things since almost 2 months ago, but last month in stockholm i was always busy, and first month here even more... and this one starting, just crazy!

but now i just want to talk about this weekend...

i started the month, day 1, getting a night bus to barcelona. i arrived at 7, and got a train to segur de calafell, where gerard has a summer house just in front of the beach :D

so i arrived quite early, we helped with some things for the lunch and went (igor, gerard and me) to the beach for a couple of hours. we went up again just before maite, diego and lukas arrived, and then laia a bit later. and we had luch all together, that gerard's parents prepared an amazing paella, and home made icecream, and sangria... we ate so much and so well! and so nice all together again...
and then all to the beach!

but not too long because we had to go to vilafranca (laia's town), to see her doing castells! we were lucky that they did it precisely that day, it was incredible to see it there. nothing to do with seeing pictures or a video, i was really impressed...

after that a beer in one place, dinner in another, and then we went to sitges for a walk, a beautiful town quite close, and then to vilanova, another village nearby.

*fotos* (i will put them when i get them!)

btw, i stayed these days in laia's place. so the next day we woke up later than the boys, as usual :P and we catched them already in barcelona. we were sightseeing all day, a really intensive tour!

*fotos*

we were really exhausted at the end of the day, so we decided to go home. but when laia and me arrived to vilafranca we changed our mind and went to have dinner to a very nice place, just the two of us =)

and on monday she had to work, so the guys came to pick me in the morning, and we went to montserrat. and we tried coca! :P

then we went to llinars del valles, to visit andrea, that is working there in a summer camp now. we could only be one hour, but i was so happy to see her at least a bit! :D

we had lunch in granollers, and back to barcelona, to visit the forum and to the centre.

*fotos*

and at 9 we met everyone (all the ones we were on saturday and also belen and david this time!) to have dinner. nice place, nice people, nice dinner :D

and another night bus back to madrid... i just arrived this morning!

short, but intense! it has been so nice to meet again and be together... i really felt exactly the same as in stockholm :)

thank you family...

ps: tonight another night bus... to portugal!

feeling again as leaving stockholm...

strange, my last goodbyes were the 29th of june, and since then no more until the 29th of july, with again 2 really difficult ones. i'll miss you... so much :'(

but in 2 days i'll meet many other sundby people, and some others in one week, so it's to be happy too! kind of sweet and sour...

and below all of this there's the fact: we already are meeting around europe. so this definitely can work... :)

martes, 1 de julio de 2008

vi ses!

just a small post, it's not time for many words now...

i'm back, it's done, it's true, even if i still don't realise it, even if i can't believe it's possible that it's over...
i still think i'll go back to my flat, to sundby, with my things, my people... my home, my family... this is just a holiday break, isn't it? it should be...

in fact it kind of is like that, now is the "meeting around europe" phase! or else? :)

so thanks to all for an unforgettable year. i learned a lot, changed a lot, enjoyed a lot... 11 months that seemed like 11 years, so many things happened! but passed by just as 11 days, so quick...

i hope each of you know how important you've been this time, and what you mean to me now...

and remember Sundby is not only a place, it’s a feeling, a way of living. and that hasn’t finished, of course not.

it has just started...

ps: i love you people :)

family visit, and family here...

continuing from tuesday 13th may...

i picked up my parents and we came here to leave everything and have lunch. they stayed at home this time, so it was living in family again for a week... and i spent all the time i could with them, i was happy to have them here!

in the afternoon we went for a walk from fridhemsplan to södermalm, through gamla stan (the tiny statue!), and then just had dinner (typical swedish potato!) and back home.
and i then went to igor's, that everyone was there...

on wednesday i woke up early to prepare a great great breakfast at home (i'm so good daughter! ahah. no, seriously, the builders nearby were making so much noise that was impossible to sleep anymore, so i made a good use of that time!). then we went to sigtuna, and then back in stockholm we went to östermalm's market and main campus.

and at night first i went to sidney's, because he called me to organise a goodbye party, and then we went to pedro's, that everyone else was there. i was so tired, but it was funny just because of that :P sidney always cold and with the blanket, like a granny, me pretending to be part of the furniture while gonçalo kept on throwing me the "ball" (paper star)... ahah

on thursday we first went to the tv tower, and then my parents went to växholm while i went to a goodbye meeting in KTH. the meeting was a good excuse to sleep a bit, and then they invited us to juice and princess cake, typical from sweden.

i then went with gonçalo and sidney to a festival, "new made sound", at kth musikhögskolan. it was nice, 3 small stages, with not known groups, but all different and interesting, i liked it... and then i went to pick my parents in södermalm (but going through kungstradgarden a bit, that there was a big concert) and took them to the viewpoint to see the sunset.
we had dinner in a really nice swedish restaurant in medborgarplatsen and back to sundby, but in the tunnelbana station i said goodbye to them and hello to the sundby people, to go to cafe bojan!

fun as usual, i talked a lot with some people i hadn't seen for ages... :D but after a "complicated" week in many aspects, a conversation was inevitable and needed. in the bus back home things came about just as normal, and made complete sense later on... (and i stayed until so late, even if my parents were at home :$)

*btw, so many stories have occurred in cafe bojan's night bus! ahah.

so on friday (16th) i woke up early (so tired! in my sleepy bubble :P) to go with my parents to pick a car we rented for the weekend. they went to do the same trip we did in january, to dalarna, and i stayed to work a bit... in fact i just went straight to school.

*and that day the soundtrack came by silence 4: "today you may feel a little sleepy, maybe the morning is too soon..." =)

i came back home, and at night we went to have some drinks in uli's place, and then to medusa rock bar, finally! i liked the place, and the people! nice night... and then straight to sleep!!!

i managed to work a bit on saturday, and my parents arrived in the afternoon, earlier than planned. so the rest of the afternoon i was packing things for them to take back home, having dinner together... family stuff! :)
but i missed diego's party because of my stupid mobile phone, again... :(

on monday morning we went for a walk in sundbyberg, so that they saw the lovely place where i live (ahah), and then i took them to the airport (we still had the car one day more!). the way back was great, loud music, driving as i wanted, so happy!
and since i had the car all afternoon, i went to do my last "family shopping" in lidl with lukas...

and then, although it was just the afternoon and evening, it seemed a whole day, one of the most perfect ones in stockholm...

we first went to mariefred. by the time we arrived all the shops and cafes where already closed, so the town was kind of empty. but it was so nice to walk around, the castle with the nonsense windows, the tiny funny island, flowers, ducks, nice streets with cute colourful houses...

and then we went to strängnäs, quite near. it was also completely empty and everything closed, and although it's much bigger than mariefred it was also so nice! we visited the centre looking for the "most beautiful street of sweden" (according to some swedish poet), but we only found it when we where leaving! ahah. and we also had a perfect sunset there, beside the water, with the ducks playing to chase each other :P

and then a pizza in the only open place left, and delaying the moment to go back home we explored stockholm's "deep forest", going on a rally along narrow roads and paths, and seeing villages of no more than 10 houses... (btw, stora sundby is so ugly! :P) and a perfect view of the sky reflected over the water at dusk, with the stars starting to appear, and the smell of grass... that must be close to paradise, or at least i felt so...

good... night?

finally, we reached the point where there is no night at all, not complete at least. it always remains a little bit of light... so we'll see how this looks like in the middle of june!

miércoles, 21 de mayo de 2008

next week!

all monday (5th) working, but for a "just a second" (but not really :P) visit. and at night i just felt like watching an o.c... it wasn't the same without andrea, but gerard came to watch it with me, and also igor and victor came for a while...

and in the last minute, as usual, i prepared my next day's presentation. i re-used another project from two years ago, so i got "a lot of work" in quite little time :D
so i still had time to go to play and try these action and reaction laws, and laugh a bit myself, why not, ahah.

and tuesday morning i just had to prepare everything for the evening and then leave to the presentation. the critics were just as expected, and the relation between time-spent and critic-received couldn't have been better, so, happy!

back home, and... let's say 19.30? ok, but to go where? who knows... ah, yes, here it is, the sunset! [happy -late- birthday!] always so nice in södermalm... so get a beer and enjoy =) (but watch out, they grow, ahah)

and back in sundby a visit to victor, but not much more to do, so i made a cake for myself (at 12!) and happily waited in my chill-out corner, with my cake and my series!

on wednesday i spent all day finishing my swedish essays, i sent 5 of them together to my teacher that evening! so nothing but a just a second visit until night, that we organised a dinner at home because lukas returned from germany that day :)

we arranged an intensive studying day, from 9, with gerard, and later alberto joined as well (after singing stupid movie songs for a while, ahah). i then went to kind of say goodbye, before 5, and more swedish until night.

we went to uli's for a pre-party, and then left to kth to the quarnevalen's tent. it wasn't so good, so we moved to cafe bojan. and everything perfect until we came home, that it was as if i had suddently realised or assimilated that andrea was not at home, and i felt i couldn't sleep there... but luckily there are always friends here to help, no matter how late it is, thank you... :)

and friday again studying all day! most day with gerard, and victor coming from time to time, or else talking on messenger about how "amazing" it was that gerard and me logged in always at the same time, or showing us facts such as this (of course the answer by then was yes) :P
it was a nice day, though! even when everyone went to sleep i still stayed until... who knows, but i was on a nice mood!

so saturday (10th) to the swedish exam without sleeping almost anything, but fine. and the exam went quite better than expected! let's wait for the results...

after that i went walking in stockholm looking for some stuff, and making time until i met the others to go to the quarnevalen parade. so funny! we were first laying in a park, enjoying the sun (it was so hot that day!) and then the parade passed by... all the floats were so geek! we laughed a lot, i'll try to get the pictures soon to show... [here is the link to lukas's pictures of the quarnevalen]
many people stayed a bit longer when it finished, but i needed to go back home to try to sleep at least one hour, because at night at my place we had a... superheroes party!

it was just great, so many people desguised, and so funny! and the party itself was 516 style... until security came for second time and told us to leave (and got fined afterwards, 850 kr, no less! not fair, not fair...). and quite a confusing night in many other senses, but always with a good feeling... strange.
and btw, i was sailormoon =)

on sunday we went to stavsnäs by, in the archipielago, to have a barbacue. nice trip there, a place on the top of the rocks, a woman shouting because of the fire, some sausages... but jana and me didn't stay so long. i still had to come to clean all the mess of the party...
but later we went to uli's to see the sunset and play twister, and at night a film in jana's :)

monday (12th) was the unluckiest day in the year, everything went wrong! first kth's mail about being fined, then helsinki tickets sold out, i finally bought my flight back to spain... i decided to go to the laserwar, and unlucky even then, my gun was broken! but at least i found a nice poster [have you smiled at a stranger today? happypill] :P
at night we were playing cards at uli's, and said goodbye to alex (uli's friend, nice guy!). and then, back in my flat, a late conversation made everything look better, seeing at least that this "missing" feeling was not so stupid as i thought... [oh, and the new white t-shirt...! :D]

and on tuesday i just had time to finish tidying before going to pick my parents! family life for a week...

the first countdown

the last time i wrote i said "the last normal days", because since andrea said she was leaving there was a feeling of countdown all around. and that was just the first one, because just after that it seems that everyone started to realise this is eventually coming to an end, so i think this feeling is going to remain here all the time left...

...

on wednesday (23rd) it was st. jordi, a very important day in catalunya, with a tradition of giving a rose to girls and a book to boys. so gerard (he was in barcelona) told igor to get some roses for the girls, and he came to our flat with 3 roses (for maite, andrea and me) and a paper that read "estoy espiritu de gerard y yo traigo flores para vos" :P
oh, and were really beautiful roses...

i had swedish class in the afternoon, and after that we went to jordi's place to greet him, and then some o.c. with andrea :)

on thursday (24th) we organised a big family dinner in our place, and almost everyone came, it was so nice! and afterwards we went to cafe bojan, always fun! again half sundbyberg was there, we went the ones from the dinner on our own, but the others arrived just as the same time. and also the lappis people from the gipsy wedding were there! (they celebrated a gipsy wedding from wednesday to saturday, and went desguised to these parties and so... :P) btw, it was funny to establish a protocol that after that wasn't used even once!

so on friday i didn't go to class, i just joined the others there to have lunch together! (the last time...) and in the afternoon instead of staying there we decided to go to kungstradgarden to have an icecream lying on the grass, with the sun... :D it seems like swedish people don't go to work with nice weather, or something like that, because since those good days started the city is so full of people everywhere!

so after some coincidences there and a short walk to skeppsholmen, we came back to sundbyberg to prepare something for the international dinner we had in the terrace... not like the first one of course, but quite a lot of people! and everything so tasty...
afterwards we were supposed to go to a party in dkv, but we decided to stay "the family" in our place, playing uno, mafia, burro... and it was a great decision, we had such a good time!

the most interesting thing we did on saturday morning was make jokes about ogame, both andrea and me... :P

*we are 11 of us now playing, in an alliance (sundby), and it's worth since the two days we spent looking for funny names for all, and then everyday we have something to say/joke about it...

so, on saturday afternoon we made up a plan ("out of the blue", eh andrea? ahah) we went to the city (though i went a bit later, but for good reasons!), a coffee in a terrace, a walk to gamla stan, meeting sundby people at every step! back to södermalm, nice views, nice weather, dinner in cafe art, t-centralen... and when they went back to sundby i stayed because the portuguese and other sundby people were coming to go to some club. we didn't enter any club finally, but we tried in several, just as the first days in august! :P but, as always (or that day even more), nice to walk in stockholm at night...
so we came back to sundby and went to julien's, an improvised party! some drinks, badly-rolled cigarettes in the terrace, trying "new trousers", pedro in a fancy skirt :P, a bit of robbie williams...

and the next day (27th) picnic/barbacue all day! we went to haninge, in the south of stockholm, to a very nice park with lakes, forest... so we ate there and played a lot of games, just like kids!
so we came back all sunburned, and tired, so the others didn't go to joao's birthday, but i did... (well, first a nice dinner and o.c. with andrea... =) those are the best moments!) we were in the terrace, not so long, but nice time! btw, funny to find out that portuguese happy birthday is the only one with a bit more lyrics than just one or two same sentences like in other languages!!!

the next days i had to study a bit, mainly during the day, but not much!

and on monday maurice came back to visit! :D:D:D so we all met in the terrace, and then went to play some games in victor's, again until so late! (all waiting with victor's and joao's friends that had to get the 3am bus)

and tuesday just swedish class (the last!) and a small dinner at home. we had to rest a bit for the next day...

valborg! (30th april) the biggest student party in sweden, just in two cities: lund and uppsala, and this second one happens to be less than one hour away from stockholm, so...

we went quite early (8:55 bus!) because at 10 started a race of self-made boats, so funny! and then we went to a big park with concerts. it was all full of people! and it was funny to see uppsala students bringing all their stuff there, even sofas! so well prepared... and everyone drinking so much, since early in the morning and the whole day...

we stayed in this park most part of the day, it was sunny, and really nice to be there all together. we were quite a big group, and all of us either with the sundby-shirt or a black one instead (it reminded me of cantalejo!) :D

some people left along the afternoon, but most of us stayed, and after the park we went to max to have dinner, in the centre, and then to a corridor party (to behave like teenagers, ahah).
we came back by train, just like half of stockholm students, i met a lot of known people there! and it was also a nice way back, with a nice and sweet nap...
there was an after-party when we arrived to sundby, but after 15 hours partying i needed to go straight to bed...

april didn't start so well, andrea finally started packing. and it was then when i definitely realised she was leaving, when taking away the [f***ing] flower... but we made a cute moment of it after all.
she then had to leave all afternoon, but at night we had dinner together, with o.c., just as so many other times but for the fact of knowing this was the last one...
and later we went to say happy birthday to alberto, but he wasn't there so we left the candles and a picture of us with the candles at his door, quite funny!

friday (2nd) turned out to be a long long day! we went out quite early to handle in some papers in SEB office, and then some shopping until it was time to go to the spanish embassy. we were invited there to have lunch: buffet, drinks... nice :)

and then we came back to prepare alberto's birthday, we organised an italian dinner for him! (btw, nice time preparing everything with andrea, maite and belen) but it was also constance's birthday, so we first went all to the terrace, had some drinks together, and then i took alberto home with a quite bad excuse while the others prepared everything for the dinner and then surprise him when we came back. and the french girls had also planned another dinner in constance's but they decided to join us in the terrace, so we were so many people!
we were there a couple of hours, and then some people had to go to study, and the rest we went to constance's flat to continue the party. i wasn't exactly in the mood at the beginning, but i pushed myself a bit (though i know that it doesn't usually work so well, but...). it was fun, anyway, and we have quite many silly pictures with wigs and cooking utensils :P

andrea woke me up on saturday because we had received a "formal invitation" to a lunch in victor's, hosted by himself and diego :D it was everything delicious, and so cosy! thank you guys!
then back home to continue packing (in 516 we have turned out to be experts in tetris, not only in fridges but also with luggage!), and at 5 i had a "hard time" trying to make andrea believe me when i said we had to leave... but we managed. running, but we arrived on time... maite, belen, neus, mar and jordi were waiting for us to go to the kungliga opera! we went to see the swan's lake, just amazing, breathtaking. and even just the building itself was worth going...

and back to sundby, where everyone was waiting in my room... a very big goodbye dinner, all the family there! it was really nice, every moment... the meatballs, the best tyresö brownie ever, sasha's dance with andrea, vodka shots to empty a whole bottle and andrea "fulfilling belen's wish" just the last day in stockholm, our moment in the room, party in my room (with saturday night and other usual 516 hits!), the big table breaking and us falling to the floor...

when everyone left i just stayed tidying, because 1 hour later andrea had to wake up. so she did, picked up everything while some people arrived to say goodbye, then everyone downstairs to the taxi, and that was it.....

the last "normal" days

half a month late again! this memory effort is exhausting... but i'll try!

when laia left we had to work a lot, because we had presentation that friday.

on tuesday (15th) we went to school all day, and then to tyresö, to celebrate jose's birthday with a great dinner (tyresö style!). we didn't stay that long, but still it was around 13 hours out of home... so we arrived to sundby completely wasted!

* and if i hadn't been so wasted i might have taken a flight to kiruna! but then i wouldn't have found out that there can be tangible proofs for things i thought it was impossible to prove...
=)

and the next day i finally broke down. after being half ill 2 weeks, i had to stay all wednesday at home, not so nice time :$ but at least i recovered a bit!

so on thursday intensive working for the presentation, always so nice working together with these people... but that was the last time! :( from now on, individual project...

and on friday (18th) the presentation was kind of nonsense, as the previous ones. they focused in stupid issues, and said very little about our project, so we were all very disappointed after that. i just decided not to care more about this subject, to do just the minimum to pass, and the others took a few days to decide if they wanted to continue or not...

anyway, we had lunch all together, like the past presentation, this time in an italian restaurant, and in the afternoon we went to listen to an organ concert in st jacob's church! then a coffee in kungstradgarden, some games in a terrace there, and back to sundbyberg to have dinner all in our place...

on saturday [the wait finished!:D] we went to tyresta natural park, in the south east of stockholm. we spent the day there, walk, picnic... beautiful place! and at night we gathered at uli's place, to drink mini-shots of different types of liquors, and then we tried to go to a place in södermalm but it was closed because of computer problems! (¿?) so we went to the pubs in main campus. i don't like that place that much, but i liked the people, so...
[- really, no need to care, go do whatever you want. - oh, i can do whatever i want? whatever? - sure! [...] :O oh, nice...]

sunday morning (20th) was stressful! it was victor's birthday surprise, and we couldn't contact him! and when we finally did he said he couldn't come!!! so uncertainty until just 5 minutes before having to leave... but everything ok!

so to the pendeltag, without him knowing where were we going :D a trip to the middle of nowhere, train, bus, walking... and when we were arriving (to the paintball place!) we blindfolded him, and he stayed like that while we dressed him/we got dressed, and until we reached the middle of the forest, where the paintball court was. imagine his face when he opened his eyes!

and then the paintball was so fun! the first game maite and me where quite scared, at the back until almost the end, ahah, but we started getting more and more confident, and by the third game we were even ahead of the boys! ueee! of course, the absoulte winner, the red team! :D

we came back sooo tired... and sunburned! but shower and to carlos's birthday party! it was nice, just the perfect amount of people and a nice mood :)

on monday the best part of the day was the morning, 5 hours of complete laziness! [just a preview of the 2 days record ;)]

and on tuesday i went to school, alone :( but in the afternoon i met maite and rosa to go for a walk and a coffee in kungstradgarden, because it was so sunny and full of people!
and back home to go to uli's to see the sunset eating icecream. but i couldn't enjoy it so much, because just before going andrea told us she had to leave at the beginning of may :'(

so the next days were quite strange...

it's all about two...

... two weeks i've been without being able to think, two days finding it difficult to breath, and two months left of not being two again.

but what i've won is so much... i came here knowing i would meet new people and that i would make friends, but what i didn't expect to find is a kind of sister, my second half.

as we said, i don't need to give you something for you to remember me, you have the whole of me...

thank you...

This party is old and uninviting

Participants all in black and white
You enter in fullblown technicolor
Nothing is the same after tonight
If the world would fall apart
In a fiction worthy wind
I wouldn't change a thing
Now that you're here

Yeah, love is a verb here in my room
Here in my room, here in my room

You enter and close the door behind you
Now show me the world as seen from the stars
If only the lights would dim a little
I'm weary about eyes upon my scars

Pink tractor beam into your incision
Head spinning as free as dervishs' whirl
I came here expecting next to nothing
So thank you for being that kind of girl
That kind of girl

surprise, surprise!

thursday (10th) started as a normal day, working in maite's again. gerard was also there some time, leaving and coming from time to time, and one of those times he came back with alberto as well. and 10 seconds later we heard the door again, we looked, and... there she was, laia, in maite's flat, just saying hello as if it was something normal... :D so imagine our faces! it actually took some seconds for me to react...
so after that we didn't work much more! some time talking there, some more in neus, laia going to visit all the others and seeing their reactions... :D
and of course at night big dinner in our place! that those days was also laia's home :)
we had to leave two hours or so to finish our presentation, and when i came back home everybody was leaving, so a hot chocolate and talking until late with laia, just as we used to do! :D

and on friday sleepy to the presentation, we were almost dying in the tunnelbana, but after a coffee and seeing that no one had worked as much as us, much better! but even with a great presentation that didn't matter, the only important issue for them is that we had to do separate parts, once and again it was the only thing they talked about...
so we were a bit disappointed, but we forgot about it going to eat sushi, also with laia and gerard :)
and after a few presentations more in the afternoon, we went for a walk and a chocolate in the centre. and back home to prepare some cakes for victor's birthday, and all together to his room to wait for him (he was coming that evening from a trip, and we had his spare key, so we
tried to give him a surprise, like we did with diego!). so finally he came, surprise, cake, and everyone to our flat to have dinner, and then some games, and... nice time :)

so on saturday (12th) i did what i had said: sleep until 2, and just wake up in time to go to tallin! andrea also arrived just in time to leave, so both of us went a bit later and catched the rest in the centre...

the trip to tallin was crazy, it was organised by some student associations from different cities of sweden, so we were around 600 students in the boat, imagine... (and 30 of our sundby people!)

we left at 5, there was first a meeting with everyone, then we went shopping, dinner, coffee, walking around... and we went to "make a tetris" in our cabin, ahah, so many people! playing, drinking, whatever. and then we left to the show in the main theater, i had never seen so many people there! it was fun, dancing, partying... :D from there to the disco, the cabin, corridors, disco, cabin again... as usual in boat nights! but this time with people and party absolutely everywhere...
and after some changes in the cabins, we slept a bit, just a bit!

so i woke up on sunday still drunk, and i was not the only one! the way out the boat was really funny, with laia and uli, and the beginning of the walk :P
igor's cousin was there, so she showed us the city :) it was a pity that it was raining all the time, but it was nice anyway! and we had lunch in a very nice place, really long lunch! and back to the boat (laia and me getting lost on the way, but we managed :P).
then a short nap, and to the bar to see the others, that were playing cards. so we played, had dinner there (really well organised :P), then went to get some drinks, back to play more games... and to the show with sasha, then everybody (but i danced the last one with sasha, so nice! you can see he's professional :P). and we all stayed stayed there in the "empty" theater a while (a bit apart from the rest, nice moment... nice night btw! :) ), before we went to the disco, and as always: disco, corridors, cabin, disco, cabin... :D and it was also the first day in long time just having fun without caring about "outer world"!
oh, and nice that i could stop coughing for a while, ahah...

so less than two hours of sleep and we arrived to stockholm. funny trip back, lunch, long coffee, and some chapters of o.c.! a nap, and tyresö people came to say goodbye to laia!
then a nice dinner in the terrace all together, some games in jana's, a cup of cava in gerard's, and goodbye again to laia...

it was so nice to have her here again! even until the last day, sometimes i just looked at her not believing she was actually there... thank you!!!

la meva crustoneta!

now it's definitive, there's a fixed date... the 4th of may will mean the end of erasmus as i now it, everything will change...

i knew this would probably be the most difficult thing i'll have to do at the end of this year, it's just that i didn't expect it to be so early! but it's for a good reason...

so good luck, though you don't need it! you can achieve whatever you want, i knew it...

and don't be sad, we'll also try not to... what we have lived here must weight much more than the fact of leaving, so the only thing left to do is smile!

"whatever tomorrow brings i'll be there, with open arms and open eyes..."

to be continued.... . . .

time and again

you all know i have a very bad memory for small things (specially after parties :P), but there are certain things i never forget, no matter how much time goes by. certain dates, an image of an instant, a smell, a song, a place, a phrase...

and probably it's difficult to see from the outside that it's like that, because i might seem not to care much, but nothing further from that.

sorry for being a disaster sometimes, for not writing or being in touch as i should, but please believe me when i say it doesn't mean i forgot.
once you got a place in my life, a piece of my mind, you'll never "lose" it.

e come sempre sei la descrizione di un attimo per me...

ps: another sundby-song :)

end of holidays, and antonio's visit!

again too late, but this time i have excuse i swear, i haven't stopped!

we started april with a good surprise: 2 extra days of holiday, so 2 weeks on the whole! but anyway we worked a bit befor starting the course, to be able to defend the idea of making our project together (this term is supposed to be individual). and i still continued going late to sleep and so on...

it was also the week i recovered the faith in my possibilities of learning swedish. i explain. the week before many people from another class came to ours, and i had a long and funny conversation (in swedish!) with some of them. then i met one of this guys again on thursday in cafe bojan and he tried to persuade me to go the next week to his class, that i would see it's more fun, and not so hard. so i did! i went on tuesday. and it's definitely better than mine, i could understand almost everything! so i came back home so happy...

and on wednesday we completed the "process". we met some people from sundby with heidi to have a beer and speak in swedish (they started with this the week before, nice idea), and at first i went just to listen, but then i found out i could actually say something, so again happy :)

by the way, earlier on wednesday we began our classes. as usual everyone else in the class just went on talking about "deep" thoughts, and we were the only ones that had worked the days before and had something.
and at night, after the swedish meeting, we went to have dinner at alberto's, that he prepared gnoccis for all, yummy! and just note an odd moment, sending sms within the people that were there, very funny :P

*it's not the first time we have a similar situation, it's what happens when you have free sms... haha

and again going to sleep when i shouldn't, so i overslept and couldn't pick up antonio in the centre, but he knows how to come to sundby :P he stayed until sunday night this time.
we had lunch, then a long sobremesa with the girls, and a long walk all around södermalm. after that a nice dinner with a long deep talk... and the spinach quiche!!! :P

then we went to cafe bojan, where we met the other sundby people (amongst others). and a night full of stories... several comments about everyone and everything :P, an unnecessary discussion that ended up in a bigger upset than it should :(, odd situation going outside to smoke, a stupid mistake when coming in, then this feeling of not being able to wait to be back home (or maybe just not wanting :P), the funny ending songs of every thursday (but this time with portuguese karaoke), waiting for the bus with a strange english-swede-whatever, and some confessions in between, a lot of disgusting jokes along the way to sundby, holding hands, funny videos, and some more karaoke back in sundby...

highlights of the night:

a cafe bojan classic! :D

and portuguese karaoke in sundby!

friday (4th) i had to go to class, almost without sleeping, and "our guests" joined us for lunch at school (important event, maite cooked :D and great, btw). a hot chocolate in kungstradgarden, in a terrace! a walk, and going to try to sleep for a while. and later we joined andrea and her friends in the centre for dinner, finally the creperie!

*since the beginning of april is as if the city had come back to life. all the terraces open again, people everywhere in the street, summer timetables starting again... and of course so many hours of daylight!

on saturday, more sightseeing, but this time i also discovered new things! we went to the television tower, the highest view you can get of stockholm, and so nice to sit there with your coffee, the music, the sun, the views... :)

at night we all went to ace. we were so many people! 24 from sundbyberg, and then we met there a lot of people from kungshamra and skrapan :D and, as always in ace, it was great!
and then a bit of a blue moment coming back home, but trying to give support in this situations i think it brings you closer to people, at least i felt like that after that day... i hope i was useful!

so another day without sleeping much, because on sunday we woke up quite early to go to vaxholm, a town in the archipielago. we spent the day there and came back by boat :)

*very strange that just the wind on the face made me feel exactly like the day we went to grinda, in august...
at night we
organised a dinner in the terrace, and then stayed with a guitar concert by alberto :P
and a long long night, talking a lot, finding out even more, trying to sort out, a trip to t-centralen at 4:30 am, and arriving home much later (i had a deal...).

monday (7th) back to real life, all day working. but it's always nice to work with these people :)
during all the week the "base" was at maite's, we had everything really well settled!

and tuesday all day at school, and wednesday and thursday all day working as well. we wanted to have a really good proyect and a lot of work to show everyone that the idea of making the proyect together was not an excuse to work less...

by the way, in between my computer problems started, the first and second blue screens appeared.

and on tuesday night we organised a family dinner at home to say goodbye to andrea, that was leaving to barcelona for some days. after that i had a long and nice conversation with igor in the corridor (i missed that!), and then "killed time" until andrea had to leave. i went with her to the bus stop, and it was snowing! the 8th of april! so there we were, singing stupid songs and dancing in the snow :P
(oh, and watching the snow until late again, i missed that too! :D)

*my continuous lack of sleep (i was around 15 days sleeping no more than 5 hours) was starting to be quite visible by then...
but i could do nothing! either sightseeing or working during the day, and always something to do at night that kept me from going to sleep early, so...

on wednesday (9th) night we gathered at my place for our swedish meeting, many people this time! and later also "non-swedish speakers" came, and one thing led to another and... another 516 party finally :)

some highlights again!

a 516 party without this is not the same :P

and pedro singing this, of course! XD
